TOUR UPDATE: We are home!!!

As our tour of Chile got cancelled half way through, we found ourselves in a difficult situation, as we were forced to leave the country in a hurry. This resulted in us having to buy new flights and seek alternative travel arrangements. But we made it and are all now safely home!

Los Paddys would like to express our most sincere thank you to our friends, families and fans who supported us on our way home and generously donated towards our journey home!

Homecoming Tour of Chile 2020

In March 2020 Los Paddys is embarking on a month long, exciting “Homecoming Tour of Chile”, to join St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Santiago and all around the country.

Los Paddys are bringing a delegation of musicians from Co. Clare to Santiago, Chile, where they perform high profile concerts in the capital and in the nearby cities and countryside. With the assistance of both the French and Irish Embassies in Chile, Los Paddys have managed to book concerts for the 2020 St. Patrick’s Day festival in Santiago and concerts at Teatro Adeph in the heart of Santiago (celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020), as well as the “Circo Jiwasa Jatina Quilicura” – community circus in Quilicura and various Irish bars and venues. One of Los Paddys Chilean band members Fernando Roa Brith is travelling with the band back to Chile for the first time in 40 years where he originally left as an exile in the 70s. During this tour, Los Paddys are playing and co- ordinating with local musician and promoter David Gutiérrez Villagómez, a graduate of the 2018 Irish World Academy at UL and concert hall flute player. In Chile, David is reunited with Los Paddys’ dancer Lenka Fairy, another graduate of the Masters program in Dance Performance of the same year and Paddy (de las Pampas) Mulcahy, graduate of Masters in Ethnomusicology and head programmer for Los Paddys.

This tour will complete and renew the cultural exchange that Los Paddys started in 2012 with the band finally making a return trip to South America 8 years later with new ideas and purpose.

Los Paddys in Áras an Uachtaráin

In June 2019, Los Paddys were invited to perform at a garden party hosted by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina.

This event also marked a start of a fantastic summer of touring Europe, when Los Paddys got to play amazing concerts and festivals in Germany, France and Belgium!

NEW ALBUM!!!

Fly To Las Pampas

Paddy Mulcahy, Los Paddys’ lead vocalist, front man and lyricist, says the album is “like a love-child of Irish and Argentinian musical parentage, a best of both, while also managing to be something completely unique in and of itself,” and he humorously adds “this child is quite the unpredictable character, its fun, endearing and sometimes cheeky façade covers a much more poignant depth.”
